How To Make Goat Cheese

This simple goat cheese is perfect for beginner cheesemakers or for when you just need to keep it quick and easy.

Dissolve citric acid in water. Stir it gently but thoroughly into the milk.

Heat & Rest Milk

Heat the milk over medium-low until it reaches 190 degrees F. Remove the pot from heat and allow it to rest and separate.

Pour the mixture into a double cheesecloth-lined strainer set over a bowl. Allow it to strain for 2-8 hours depending on desired consistency.


Add Salt

Add salt & other flavorings, gently combining with a spoon.


Mold your cheese by rolling it in a piece of beeswax wrap or plastic wrap. Chill & enjoy.
