How to Make Breadcrumbs

Make plain or seasoned breadcrumbs basically for free with stale bread

You can use virtually any type of bread, but white bread makes for a classic flavor. My favorite bread to use is homemade sourdough.



Tear or slice dry bread into 1" pieces and process in a food processor. until it breaks into fine crumbs.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 10-15 minutes, tossing halfway through. When golden in color, the breadcrumbs are done.


Add Herbs

Toss with just salt or an Italian seasoning mix of dried oregano, garlic, onion, parsley, and salt.
