And a little goes a long way! This recipe is a great way to use up some of your fresh garden (or store-bought) rosemary, and it’s perfect for a fast-paced day.
Rosemary isn’t just for savory dishes!
Ingredients
Raw Almonds– A calorie-dense food, almonds aid in weight management, heart health, brain health, and blood sugar control. Almonds contain healthy fats, proteins, and antioxidants that provide a good source of energy and work to support overall health.
Spinach– Use fresh or frozen here. I tend to freeze extra spinach before it goes bad precisely for use in a smoothie like this. It’s a nutrient-dense leafy green vegetable rich in vitamins and minerals that help support immune, eye, heart, and bone health.
Frozen Banana– Bananas give this smoothie its creamy texture while working to provide essential vitamins and minerals, improve heart health, boost your energy levels, and support weight management.
Avocado– Helping to make this smoothie extra creamy, avocados are high in heart-healthy monounsaturated fats and a good source of vitamins C, E, K, and several B vitamins, including folate.
Rosemary– One of my favorite garden herbs, it contains a rich array of antioxidants, anti-inflammatory compounds, and essential nutrients that aid in circulation, digestion, immune support, and brain function.
Orange Juice– I use freshly squeezed for the brightest flavor. It’s known for being rich in vitamin C which is crucial for the immune system and skin health.

FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)
While fresh will provide the strongest aromatic flavor, you can substitute it with dried. Start with ½ tsp and add more to taste.
It’s best to avoid blending the woody stems of rosemary as they can be tough and unpleasant to consume. Stick to the leaves for a smoother texture.
It’s best to consume smoothies immediately after preparation to enjoy the freshest flavor and maximum nutrient content. However, you can store it in the fridge for up to 24 hours if needed. Shake or stir well before drinking.
